Summer set some record temperatures globally. With vacations and event planning going on our contributions cooled down a bit.

- Ryan Gibson worked on some fixes for the Facebook Instant Articles module.
- Dan and I worked on issues related to the Deploy module suite on Drupal 8. Expect some more work on this over the coming months.

- Michelle Cox continues her crusade against spam on drupal.org.
- After June's releases I triaged some issues for Metatag and Panelizer for D7.
- I continued working on the D8 port of Metatag and had a small code sprint at Drupal GovCon.
- I also rerolled a patch to improve Webform's tests, helped push a core fix for inline errors, rerolled a patch to make Drupal core provide the correct MIME Type for JavaScript files, rerolled a patch for the Date module for timezone problems, helped finish a patch to fix a core bug that caused tests to fail for some contrib modules, and pushed for D7, CTools and other modules to fully support PHP 7.
Blog posts
Always working on new content, during July we published a few interesting blog posts:
- Several team members provided insights on lessons they learned from attending DrupalCon and how they would pertain to organizing a smaller event.
- Edward Chen provided a review of the GraphSQL session he attended at DrupalCon NOLA and some insights into how to use the AMP module for Drupal 8.
- Eric Huffman reviewed a session from DrupalCon NOLA on the future of web technologies.
- Kendra Sherer explained how she came to learn how to use GitHub's pull requests system.
- Matt Goodwin provided a great guide on how to use Views to load XML data from a 3rd party site.
- I detailed why I believe you should write tests for your code.
Events
Several of us attended Drupal GovCon 2016 in Baltimore, Maryland, and it was great! While the days felt short, starting at 10 a.m. and only having a keynote and four presentation time slots (three on Friday), the variety and quality of the presentations more than made up for it. Videos for all three keynotes have been made available (see links on their homepage) and it's well worth taking the time to watch them.
That's all folks
That's it for July, we'll see you again next month.
