In November, 2014 Weather.com launched on Drupal and became one of the highest trafficked websites in the world to launch on an open-source content management system (CMS). Mediacurrent and Acquia are excited to provide a blog post series that will share insight around how Weather.com was migrated to Drupal. Our team of experts will share best practices and what lessons we learned during the project.

We all have a need for speed, especially when it comes to websites and for Weather.com, the amount of customized content loading in near real-time makes this a challenge not easy to solve. In the next post in our blog series, Mediacurrent's own Matt Davis and DC Denison, Senior Editor, Technology at Acquia, provide additional insight into the solutions implemented and the results gained including increased cache efficiency, page performance and reduction in servers used. Check out Migrating Weather.com to Drupal: Improved Page Load Times.

Stay tuned for the final post next week, including a special announcement!
