Mediacurrent's W³ Website Award trophy shelf is growing!

We're proud to announce that we've scooped up four awards in the past three years for our development, design, and strategy work. Judged annually by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts, the W³ Awards honors excellence on the web and recognizes the creative and marketing professionals behind award-winning websites.

This is a gratifying commendation of Mediacurrent’s ingenuity and data-driven strategy, design and UX methodology. We’re grateful and humbled to have been distinguished from a competitive applicant pool of nearly 5,000 entries for the work we do.

When it comes to helping organizations architect high impact websites, there’s one thing we know for sure: good things happen at the intersection of data and creative. Congratulations to our clients Georgia Tech, CARE Action! Network, Travelport, and Guardian Insurance for representing some of the best websites built on Drupal.

Silver Award - Area Alert (General Websites-News)

We took a user-centric approach, mapping the journeys of those faced with perhaps some of the most difficult days of their lives, to build a Drupal emergency site for organizations that are on the front lines. When a crisis comes, there isn't time to build a custom website for communicating with your community. This Drupal distribution helps organizations quickly build highly performant, low-cost, and easy-to-update emergency websites during the COVID-19 pandemic and other large-scale emergencies.

Silver Award - Georgia Tech Library (Website Features-User Interface)

Mediacurrent transformed Georgia Tech Library’s dated design and hard-coded HTML/PHP website into a modern, top-shelf Drupal 8 platform. As monumental upgrade for the Library, this Drupal 8 redesign is mobile-friendly, featuring simplified navigation, a reworked search function, a clean homepage design, and alignment with the Institute’s most current visual brand standards. Our webinar about Georgia Tech Library's Drupal 8 transformation takes a deep dive into this redesign project.

Silver Award - Guardian Insurance (Insurance Web Design)

To carve a market niche for Guardian's new direct to consumer insurance brand, we created an interactive design with a reimagined content strategy. The new site makes a splash against both well-established and newer millennial-focused brands. The new design was recognized with silver W³  awards in the 'Homepage Website Features' and 'Insurance' categories. Gold Award - Travelport (Structure and Navigation)

We cut redundant pages to optimize conversion paths, rearranged calls-to-action, and modified Travelport’s information architecture to improve navigation and search options, all to create a gold medal-winning user experience. For more about Mediacurrent’s approach to improving information architecture across an international enterprise organization, check out our case study about Travelport's Drupal journey.

Our design layout mixes high-impact images and short videos for emotional appeal. To be sure the design speaks to activists and skeptics alike, we created targeted user personas. See how Mediacurrent designed a new website to drive membership and donations in the CARE Action! case study.
